Soho Picture Framing did a wonderful job with my art. Michael and his staff spent a lot of time and were very patient in helping to pick the perfect frames, and the workmanship is perfect.

I just picked up a tapestry I had framed at Soho Framing and am incredibly impressed with the job. Michael went over and beyond the call of duty in helping me. They finished a week earlier than expected and did seamless work spending 4x the time they expected to stretch and sew down the tapestry (to avoid bunching and wrinkling). They also helped me pick out an a wonderful mat/frame combination that perfectly complemented the tapestry. I will definitely return to Soho Framing next time I need something framed...

My first experience with Soho Picture Framing was exceptional. I brought in an Anniversary gift to frame in a very short time. The staff went above and beyond to provide great solutions that would help me meet my "deadline". The deadline of a procrastinating wife is a difficult one to meet, but Soho picture framing made me look like I really care...and I will look forward to returning as soon as possible.

Michael, Tanaz, and the entire SPF team worked tirelessly to create a piece that reflected (and surpassed) my vision and respected my budget. I have been here twice and now am a loyal customer! I have had to go here to get two very different pieces framed for the couple that I work for, and they were extremely pleased with the results each time. Everything looks professional and the team that works together to advise on frames and matting are experts in taste and style. Each person I have worked with has a great eye yet also is respectful of personal tastes and preferences, which results in beautiful framed pieces that make everyone happy in the end! The end product is quite perfect, to the smallest detail. They are wonderful people to work with. Also, there are SO many different options for framing, which is great if you have any particular constraints or if you are extremely picky (like me) and they are realistic about the time frame a project will take to get done. The people at Soho Picture Framing are definitely experts in the field of frames and art! Wonderful experiences both times, highly recommended!

I picked up our framed picture from Soho Picture Framing last night and wow was I impressed. The finished work was as good as the first impressions we got as we were expertly guided through the vagaries of framing a picture to get the best from the actual art. The expert eye of Tannaz selected and blended the framing colors perfectly. She went onto craft the frame perfectly. The team provided simple, helpful advice that has left us with a high quality timeless framing job that I have no doubt will look as great in 20 years time!

One major problem I now have is an eye to see how terribly everything else in my apartment is framed. I’m off to save up for some reframing. All told a truly pleasurable experience; way beyond “buying a frame”.

Michael is serious about making your artworks look the best they can and doing the job right. If you have something important to frame and want it done by a talented framer Soho Picture Framing is a great choice.

I had two very personal pieces to be framed: an original MC Escher print as well as a golf ball and scorecard from a hole-in-one I had a few years back. After being referred to Michael, we found a time to meet and I was immediately impressed by how professional both he and his staff were. Michael recommended that I have the Escher print de-oxidized prior to framing and sent me to the best player in town to have it “cleaned”. Now that I have the Escher cleaned up, it looks absolutely amazing! The golf ball/scorecard was much more complicated. Michael worked with me to customize a 3-inch think frame mat board setup. He quoted a price which he stuck too even though the piece required much more work than originally planned. More importantly, the piece turned out exactly as I hoped it would. There is no question that I will bring the Escher back to be framed… I highly recommend Soho Picture Framing!

Michael and Paul just completed a long and arduous task of restoring my great, great grandmother's portrait frame (a hand carved turn-of-the-century frame) and they did all they could to save her portrait for future generations. It is one of the few treasures from my mother's estate and means so very much to me. These guys are simply amazing as well as knowledgeable, personable magicians! They knew from the first glance that handcarved frame was most likely "Eastlake" style either, carved in England or early America. They recognized immediately that the glass cover was hand-blown and, to preserve it as well as the portrait, used both original and museum glass. They bring picture framing and restoration to a new level of art and treat each portrait, print or painting brought to them as a treasure. The satisfaction of seeing my great, great grandmother's frame restored is beyond measure. I have also had two other recently acquired Italian paintings beautifully framed by them. Watch for Soho Picture Framing! They are professional, serious and knowledgeable about their work.
